I met my wife during my addiction. I remember our first getaway together, we went to Niagara Falls for 3 nights. This was our conversation, driving home on the 4th day.
Jess: “We need to talk. You haven’t slept for the last 92 hours. Tell me the truth, are you on cocaine?”

So fast forward, to 2023, after Aerosmith retired, I decided to go to Rehab. The last day, a therapist pulls me aside and says, “You’re gonna go home, and think Jess changed, but you’re the one that is different. So much so, you might not even recognize her.” I said, “I know Jess better than I know myself. In fact, I know her so well, you saying that, it’s insulting.” The next day when I got home, I went right to bed. Jess lied down next to me, she was 2 inches from my face…as a tear rolled down her cheek, she said, “in all of our 19 years together, this is the proudest I’ve ever been of you.” and I replied, “your eyes are brown?”
